The big question in this case is how much will the home cost. We’re not talking about a home that’s $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 for the work of three people. This is a real issue when a new home goes in for a build-to-build cost of $9 million.
The cost has been going down since the time of our first purchase. The new home we’re doing right now is $12.2 million and the previous owner’s house was $11.5 million. We’re paying only 3% less with the same amount of labor, materials, and time. We’re also saving money by paying for a home we’re not going to be using.
