There are many rational self-interests that are common to every human culture. We have to stop and think before we act, so that we are not influenced by our own behavior. We must recognize the actions we are taking, and try to make the right choice, even if it will cost us our life. It is not the case that one can “go it alone”, which is one of the rational self-interests.

It is also not the case that you can go it alone. But in the real world, we do have to consider the consequences of our actions, even if we know that going it alone isn’t a good idea. For example, a self-involved person might go to an event with friends that is totally off the subject of what they will drink, as well as have a long talk with a friend about something totally unrelated.

But that doesn’t negate the fact that the self-interested person might have a really stupid idea. A self-interested person might want to take out the whole wedding party. A self-interested person might try to murder a friend’s boyfriend.

I think it comes down to a person feeling good that they are self-interested, and that they are not taking any risks. I think it comes down to a person feeling good that they are on the take (and therefore not taking any risks), and that they have all the time in the world.

And of course, the fact that Colt Vahn seems to have woken up on a beach with no memory of why he’s on Deathloop’s party island, Blackreef. That’s okay though because someone has left him vague messages in the sky about what to do. Our goal in Deathloop is to take out eight Visionaries, intelligent party-lovers who’ve locked an island into one repeating day so they can piss about for eternity.

In the new trailer, our hero Colt Vahn is the leader of a group of Visionaries who come to Blackreef to find a secret room in the island that has the power to stop time. They believe it to be the only place in the world where time can go backward. Apparently the Visionaries don’t take any risks and have all the time in the world, but they do have a lot of money to blow.

When you start to get into things, things can get a bit more complicated. If you’re an intelligent, rational, and self-aware individual, you can control your own emotions and actions. On the other hand, if you’re not in control of your emotions or actions, then you’ll fall prey to irrational beliefs and actions you might find yourself in.

The Visionaries are essentially a bunch of amnesiacs who get so drunk they can’t remember what they’ve done a few hours ago. One day they find that they have a copy of the entire universe. This copy, which is called the “Netherworld”, is what allows them to move time forward and backward. The only way to stop this copy is to take out the Visionaries by accident.

Colt is clearly under a lot of pressure from his sister to get himself out of the Netherworld, but the odds are against him. That’s why he doesn’t have a gun (he has a gun, but he won’t use it) and is not a very good shot. The Netherworld is a sort of time-loop, so if you want to kill the Visionaries, you have to take out the one who controls it.

The Netherworld is pretty much a state of suspended animation, with the only direct control being the ability to take more time than you can handle. The only way to stop time from running into you is to end it. The Netherworld seems to be the place that everyone who has to go through it just does, and has no choice but to accept it.
