I think it is the perfect place to post dates for many reasons. The first is that it is easier to post for a few hours. The second is that it is easy to post for a week without any delay.
There is no real way to post dates for some reason. I know a few people who have posted dates for days and weeks and weeks about some of the dates. You can add them to your post but you still have to post them once a day in hopes that you will get all of them.

So what you could do is add the date to your “about me” page or “categories” or whatever, but you cannot post it to your own site to get it posted on the site you’re on. And it probably doesn’t hurt to post a link to it on your own site as well.

Its not just about making sure your about page has a nice link to your date, but how the date is displayed on your page. The default date format is the simple name of the date, e.g. “5/23/2013” where that is the date and the year. Because Google is in on the secret, the date is displayed as a number (e.g.
2.33333 instead of 2.
